1. How to Enter the 2026 Taichung Shopping Festival Prize Draws

The 2026 Taichung Shopping Festival runs from October 24 to December 25, covering approximately two months. During the festival, consumers can shop at eligible businesses in Taichung, obtain valid Uniform Invoices, and register their spending through the Taichung TCPASS APP to accumulate raffle entry codes. Prizes include cash, cars, airline tickets, and many other exciting rewards.

Three Simple Steps to Enter the Prize Draws

1. Download the Taichung TCPASS APP: Download and sign in to the Taichung TCPASS APP (available on the App Store and Google Play), then follow the on-screen instructions to complete your membership profile.

2. Obtain an Eligible Uniform Invoice or Receipt: Make purchases at eligible businesses in Taichung during the campaign period and obtain a valid Uniform Invoice or receipt. Please note that invoices used to enter the prize draws must not include a "Business Administration Number" and must comply with the official campaign rules.

3. Register Your Invoice and Accumulate Raffle Entry Codes: Register your eligible invoices or receipts on the official campaign platform in accordance with the campaign rules. Under the standard promotion, every NT$500 in eligible registered spending earns one raffle entry code. At participating businesses in the 5x Rewards Promotion, eligible spending is multiplied by five for the purpose of calculating entries, so every NT$100 earns one prize-draw entry.

4. Important Booking and Payment Information: Choose the Right Payment Method to Enter the Prize Draws!

Before making a reservation during the Taichung Shopping Festival, please pay particular attention to your booking and payment arrangements. If you wish to register your Mapleton Motel accommodation invoice for the Taichung Shopping Festival prize draws, please confirm your payment method when making your reservation. We recommend choosing one of the following booking methods:

1. Book directly by phone or check in at the property.

2. Make your reservation through the TaiwanStay website.

3. When booking through an international OTA (Online Travel Agency, such as Booking.com or Agoda), select “Pay at Property” or the equivalent on-site payment option.

Most international online travel agencies (OTAs) use prepaid booking arrangements in which guests pay by credit card online and the accommodation provider subsequently settles the booking with the platform. Because these transactions involve specific accounting and payment settlement procedures, accommodation providers are required to issue a three-copy Uniform Invoice bearing the Business Administration Number of the OTA's Taiwan entity for payment collection and subsequent reconciliation. Consequently, the accommodation provider cannot issue a second invoice to the guest for the same stay.

Furthermore, according to the Taichung Shopping Festival's official rules, purchases made through a third-party online platform are ineligible if the platform itself issues the invoice and its tax registration is outside Taichung City. Therefore, if you wish to use your accommodation invoice to enter the Taichung Shopping Festival prize draws, we recommend avoiding prepaid bookings through international OTAs. Instead, book directly by phone, reserve through the TaiwanStay website, or make sure your OTA reservation allows you to pay at the property upon arrival.
